The April 2024 market report is here! It’s an undeniable fact that most real estate agents will agree that the housing market is still a little weird right now. Regardless of strange the real estate market is being the fact still remains that the market is making gains across the board! Check out the latest stats below in your April 20204 Market Report.
Starting off, Berkeley County saw the most rising numbers. The number of homes sold for the County spiked from 188 in March to 229 in April. The total sold volume compared to each respective month went up over twenty million dollars! Compared to April of last year, the average home price incr
eased this year by a little over eight percent.
Secondly, Jefferson County also had increasing numbers, but not as drastically as Berkeley County. Jefferson experienced a rise in total homes sold by 27 and a total sold volume of almost nine million. The County’s days on the market went up by one to thirty-eight. Compared to April of 2023, the number of homes sold has increased by twenty-two percent.
Lastly, Morgan County, although usually slow to grow numbers, did manage to add to their stats. The furthest County in the Eastern Panhandle increased their number of homes sold by ten to thirty for April 2024, but also grew their days on the market count to thirty-nine when it was previously twenty-nine. They gained over five million in total sold volume from last month. Overall, the homes that sell in Morgan County receive about ninety-six percent of the asking price. That is the lowest of the three counties for April 2024.
