Olde Tyme Christmas in Bolivar – December 1st – 10th
From December 1st through the 10th, Bolivar in Harpers Ferry turns into a wonderland of Christmas cheer! Their schedule is packed from the welcoming of guests with cookies and cider to the parade, bake sales, and more! *Times on the schedule are approximate. Parking options include by car or by rail, but car will be the most versitile. By car, you can park at the tain station in the lower town, or at the welcome center and take the shuttle down to the lower town. Occassionally, you can find street parking, but be prepared to walk with this option!
Charles Town/Ranson Christmas Parade – December 2nd
Beginning at 2 p.m. in Ranson, the joint city parade kicks off after Santa joins in from the United Bank roof around 1:45 p.m. Once Santa dismounts the building festivities will be underway! The parade will start in Ranson and end in Charles Town.
Christmas on Main – December 2nd
Meanwhile, in Martinsburg… Queen Street in Downtown is blocked off to bring out all the stops for the holiday season! Start a family tradition with Martinsburg and go ice skating on main street. Enjoy shopping and stopping at the many food trucks that will be along the street. Listen to live music as you go about your day. Lastly, watch Santa arrive and be sure to stick around for the Martinsbrug tree lighting ceremony in the Square.
Winchester Winter Village in Old Town – December 8th – 10th
Boasting lovely European, holiday flare this 3-day long event is simultaneously for young and old alike! Be greated with the smell of traditional European food, shopping deals with the local shops, and different events on each day. Try new dishes in the 12 days of Christmas restaurant crawl for charity. Visit Santa’s village with elves and see the Grinch make an appearance! Finally, take a horse-drawn carriage ride.
Breakfast with Santa – December 9th
Welcoming you from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. come have breakfast with the Big Guy! Middleway Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting this event at their firehall. The $8 ticket gets you a great breakfast, a picture with Santa, souvenirs, and musical entertainment. Kids 3 years and younger are free! At this time, tickets will be sold at the door.
