Local Places to Visit

There are lots of local places to visit in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia. All three states offer attractions such as walking trails, dining options, shopping options, outdoor adventuring, and so much more! In West Virginia, a highlight is in Harpers Ferry. They have a snow tubing facility along Route 340 towards Frederick, Maryland. The tubing hill offers night tubing, food trucks, and a hot chocolate bar. Bring your tube and get to sliding! Secondly, more local places to visit are in Maryland. The state offers cities with various shopping and multiple malls. In the tristate area, Maryland offers more larger cities for shopping and dining. The closest attractions for Eastern Panhandle residents are the Maryland Heights walking trail. The trail enters just across from the Harpers Ferry boarder. The other attraction in Maryland that the Eastern Panhandle no longer has is a mall. The Valley Mall is a large mall off Interstate 81 and has dining, shopping, gym facilities, an arcade, massage therapy shops, a food court, and more. Lastly, Virginia offers larger cities as well. They have the Apple Blossom Mall. The mall has a food court, shopping, and an AMC theatre. There are many access points to enter into the mall parking lot from around Winchester, Virginia. The Winchester area also has three different Wal-Mart locations. Virginia has a wonderful hospital called the Winchester Medical Center.
